Glenn Kiser

Director/Co-Writer

Glenn Kiser is a study in contrasts—he grew up on a cattle ranch in Texas where he roped steers in rodeos, then promptly attended Harvard University where he performed in the Hasty Pudding show in drag. Later, at Propaganda Films, he supervised post-production on the company’s feature films, music videos and commercials, and worked closely with numerous directors including David Fincher, Spike Jonze, Neil LaBute and Jane Campion. Glenn then went on to run George Lucas’ Skywalker Sound, where he oversaw sound design and mixing work on projects as varied as Avatar, Pirates of the Caribbean, Fahrenheit 9/11 and Shortbus. Glenn’s short film Every Night & Twice On Sundays, a hilarious tale about the old woman in the I’ve fallen and I can’t get up commercial, won numerous awards at festivals around the world. A veteran theater actor and director, Glenn recently directed his first television pilot, The Nuclear Family, a comedy written by Dan O’Keefe.

Erin Engman as Co-Writer, in Sabbatical

Erin Engman

Co-Writer

Co-screenwriter Erin Engman grew up a third-generation Democrat in Southern Orange County, California. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton and a B.A. in Graphic Arts and six weeks later, entered the film industry as a production assistant on the Warner Bros. feature film Burglar, starring Whoopi Goldberg. For the next 24 years, she continued to work on feature films in various positions, including recently as the Assistant Production Coordinator on Cameron Crowe’s film We Bought a Zoo. While doing all the above, she has written multiple screenplays, which have all reached various stages of production but have not yet reached “a theater near you.” She hopes that the feature film version of Sabbatical will become her first feature film.
